What is the minimum brightness requirement for outdoor LED displays? What brightness is needed under direct sunlight?

For outdoor LED screens, an actual luminance of 2,000 cd/㎡ is sufficient for normal image display on cloudy days without direct sunlight. A minimum of 3,000 cd/㎡ is required at midday. If the screen faces east or west under intense direct sunlight, 5,000 cd/㎡ is necessary.

The higher the luminance of an LED display, the greater its power consumption and cost. Therefore, it is advisable to select just sufficient luminance unless otherwise necessary.
